KIKO April Haul – Leeds
I’m feeling quite positive in terms of my creative writing at the minute as I am finding it has became quite a relaxing procedure. I am writing about things I love, and who doesn’t love a Kiko Haul? Since being made redundant at the start of the year, I have found it to be quite therapeutic, whilst keeping me occupied at the same time. Hopefully I’ll get back into the swing of things in the forthcoming weeks. I’ll get back on track with taking a more scheduled approach to my blog.
Kiko Haul products
Moving swiftly on, today I am back with a KIKO haul. KIKO Milano is a brand which is becoming increasingly popular throughout the high street. This is due to its good quality products and low, affordable prices. Having bought a few items from KIKO before (see previous post HERE), I was eager to try out some of their products from their various other ranges.
I have heard great things from a number of beauty bloggers about KIKO’s water eyeshadows, so I took it upon myself to see what all of the hype was about. KIKO use codes as a form of differentiating their products. In some cases makes the process of finding exactly what you want a little easier. In the water shadows I opted for shades 208 and 209 after much deliberation. 208 is what I would describe as an iridescent light gold shade. This is perfect for creating a bright lid with a warm brown cut crease look. 209 is an extremely pale olive green shade, which I am hoping will work well as a less intense crease colour.
I found myself in the foundation section – which is something that I rarely tend to ponder upon. This is due to being quite content with my regular foundations for quite some time now. I stumbled across their BB Glow Compacts. I was particularly impressed with the creamy consistencies when admiring their testers on display, and opted to pick one up in the shade 11. This has an incredibly warm undertone to it’s deep colour. I’m hoping this will work perfectly as a cream contour shade. Once I have given this a go for a few weeks I intend to write up a full individual blogpost on this.
Kiko Haul – Eyeshadows
Whilst aimlessly wandering round their store, I also picked up another Clic Eyeshadow in the shade 256. This added to my (what shouldn’t be) ever growing collection. I am really loving these Clic systems at the minute, and for a mere price of only £2.80. I can’t say no to picking one up every time I visit a store. Although they have a wide selection on their website, I always like to swatch before I buy. I just like to double check the pigmentation and how well they actually apply to the skin.
After a recommendation from one of my best friends Toni, I also picked up one of their cleansing milks. I am usually very cautious when it comes to skincare and like to check the ingredients, just incase my skin reacts on the slight off chance. However, I was quite impressed with the results, so opted to purchase one for myself.
Finally, when approaching the till, I noticed that there was a sale on certain consistencies of lipstick. I decided to quickly swatch a few while I was waiting in the queue. I can never turn down adding another matte mauve shade to my collection. In the end I opted to add 610 to my basket. I particularly like the design of the casing on this lipstick and that is another factor that persuaded me into buying it!
I am hoping to review each of these products on an individual basis, so stay tuned for these forthcoming posts! Have you tried any of these products before? If so – tell me what you think in the comments below.
