Sunnyside Bubble Bar – Lush Cosmetics
Hello! It’s been a while since I have last posted, but I am hoping to get back into the swing of things (as ever), and will be posting a lot more regularly from now on. I have had a lot of things going on in my personal life lately – moving house and starting my new job (which I am loving) so it’s good to be feeling myself again. I have also made a lot of progress with regards to my operation on my leg (which has now turned into both legs) – but that is a story for another day! Enough of my ramblings… I will finally get on to the topic in hand – the Lush sunnyside bubble bar.
If you are a regular reader here at Jennie Emma – you will know that I love the majority of Lush products that I test out, and when it comes to their bath products I am an absolute sucker. Having purchased this on a complete whim after spotting it in the shop and being attracted to it’s colour and sparkly appearance, I was pretty intrigued to see what this was going to turn out like.
Now that we have had the longest day of Summer, the light nights are soon to be somewhat of the past, so I decided to opt for this particular bubble bar to cheer me up. I mean who doesn’t want to feel like a mermaid? The Lush Sunnyside Bubble Bar (buy here) is a re-usable product that is recommended to be used for between two to three baths. I however can stretch this out to 4-5, but it’s totally dependant on what you are wanting from the product.
I guess what attracted me the most to this bar was the beautiful citrus – in particular orange scent. In terms of appearance, it reminded me of the Golden Egg (see previous post here). This is another personal favourite of mine, however this is only available around Easter time. Therefore, I figured I’d give this a shot instead.
Just like the golden egg, the Sunnyside Bubble Bar leaves an extravagant pool of glitter in your bath. This is perfect for if you are wanting something a little more luxurious for your bath time experience. I personally love coming out of a relaxing bath with shimmering skin. However, this isn’t for everyone so I best for warn. In terms of performance, this bar formed a great amount of bubbles as soon as it came into contact with the water. One thing I would say however, is that I found it quite hard to crumble under the running water compared to other Lush bubble bars. Having said this, I wouldn’t let this put you off. The bubbles themselves are extremely creamy and leave your skin feeling incredibly nourished. Think extreme luxuriousness and a strong refreshing smell.
Perfect for days when you want to add a bit of sparkle into your life…
Have you tried this Bubble Bar before? If so – what did you think of it?
