Seventeen Skin Wow Highlighter & Collection Speedy Blush
With saving for a house deposit being my number one priority on my list with regards to my disposable income, you can understand that make up purchases, at present, have been put on the back burner (which is much to my dismay). I do consider myself to be quite a good handler of my finances however. I am a strong believer that the right way to save is to still treat yourself from time to time (this is where the mini Boots haul comes in). That way, saving becomes less of a horrific ordeal. I guess you can appreciate the treats a little more.
To put all of this into context, I had recently decided that it was my treat day. I managed to purchase two items that I purposely ensured wouldn’t break the bank.
First up in this Mini Boots Haul we have the Collection Speed Blush in the shade Pinch Me. With this coming in at a mere £3.99, this caught my eye straight away. With only one creme blush in my collection, I figured that I would try out this variant of creme blush too.
Having tested this out for a few weeks now, I would say that I’m happy with the product overall. Although I wouldn’t rush out to buy every different shade of this product, I would use this from time to time. Ease and usability are key product features these days, and this products carries both of these qualities. Its perfect for if I’m in a rush and want to add a subtle dewy glow to my cheeks. The only downside to the speed blush would be that it seems to sink into the skin too much upon application and therefore can make my pores slightly larger. Other than that – this is a fabulous and inexpensive creme blush that is perfect for newbies to the creme blush scene.
Moving on I have the Seventeen WOW! Skin 3 Way Highlighter which came in at a friendly price of £5.99. With Strobing becoming increasingly popular over the past few months, I decided to try and find a cheaper alternative to MAC’s Strobe Cream. Although I wouldn’t say that this is a dupe, it does work in similar ways. Perfect as a stand along highlighter, this adds a highly pigmented shimmer when places along the cheekbones. I would say it works equally as well when mixing a small amount with my foundation before application.
For this price, and given the fact that this is a drugstore product, I have been extremely impressed with my experience so far. I will defiantly be rushing out to repurchase this one when I run out!!
Have you tried and tested either of these products??
If so – What were your thoughts? What would you purchase in your Boots haul?
